Well, if the lecturer didn't start the lecture yet, you will not see an "Attend" button.
And of course you need to subscribe before you can attend.

Are you sure you have subscribed to this lecture?
If a lecture doesn't allow self-subscribing then an administrator that created the lecture, needs to subscribe you with eLecture Server Admin program.

Also, may be you didn't select a lecture in the list of available lectures?
Do you see your lecture in the list of available lectures?

On our demo eLecture: http://www.umediaserver.net/ELectureDemo.html
you first need to select a lecture in a list, before you can attend.

If WebeLecture is installed on the computer behind NAT, you need to forward ports in your NAT router, to this computer.
So forward port 80,443 (or whatever ports IIS runs on) and port 5119 (used for streaming video)

You can stream recorded lectures via Unreal Media Server that is installed with eLectureServer.
Copy recorded files to some folder; create virtual folder in Unreal Media Server Configurator; create a web page that has UMS links or Flash player embedded to view these files - refer to documentation on Unreal Media Server.
