h.264 video to broadcast on Internet

Postby TomNCR » Mon May 07, 2012 8:58 pm

I have a capture card that h.264 encodes the video and I would like to let my viewers watch live when they go to my website.
Does your product Live Server work with a Directshow h.264 capture source? If so, Does your SDK let me code the stream
on the camera side that invokes and sends the video up to a web server?
Would I need your Media server?
Would people with an iPhone be able to watch the Live stream?

Live Server will take your h264-encoded content and will stream it without transcoding, yes.
If the card provides a valid h264 media type then you will also be able to stream it to Flash player, via Unreal Media Server.
You need a streaming server because Web Servers do not stream live video.
For iPhone, you will need to stream your feed with MPEG2-TS protocol (Unreal Media Server supports that), and run an Apple HLS segmenter on MAC machine.
