LiveAnnotationsPlugin

Postby ianjl » Thu Aug 02, 2018 7:21 am

Hi

I'm using the LiveAnnotationsPlugin from the SDK to add captions to a Live Source however, because we need to vertically flip the incoming capture, the text is also flipped. I imagine this means that the captions are being added to the raw capture before video encoding is applied (using ffdshow).

Is there any way to apply the caption after encoding or otherwise restore the orientation of the text?

I'm also researching a way to invert the video directly on the capture card but I thought I'd explore this avenue too.

Thanks in advance.

You can probably modify Live Annotations plugin code to rotate the image before overlaying the text on top of it.
Only going to work smooth if width is the same as height

OK, thanks. Is it possible to use more than one transform per source or do I need to combine the functionality into one?

You need to combine all your functionality in one.
Also, you might want to try to rotate the text on the image instead of rotating the image.
