UScreenCapture with Adobe Flash Player

Postby konst » Tue May 13, 2014 2:09 am

I use UScreenCapture with the latest Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer and Firefox without any problem - it works great. When I do the same in Chrome, screen is not captured, it is blank in Flash applet (version 13 12 or 11). All Flash logs are the same in all browsers, audio is captured.. if I chose webcams instead of UScreenCapture in Flash Settings dialog - they work in IE, Chrome and Firefox, so code is good for generic webcam. How would UScreenCapture access depend on type of browser, Chrome in particular?

It all depends on many different factors which are Windows OS internals - in what security context, windows station and other non-visible to user settings the browser runs. UScreenCapture itself may run in a special COM+ process, so - yes, that can happen.
