"Permanent" poster?

Postby Locutus » Sat May 18, 2013 9:00 am

I'm using the Unreal Flash Player with Unreal Media Server in RTMP rebroadcasting mode.

Is it possible to have the poster image be displayed every time there's no active video playback? E.g. when I stop the video, when there's a connection error, when no RTMP source is connected, etc.? I'd like to use it as a "stream currently offline" placeholder image for a gaming livestream.

Many thanks!

I think this kind of information should go into your FAQ section, and not be hidden in the forum. ;)

Hey locutus did you find the correct combination of code in order to accomplish your "offline poster"? I'd be very interested in getting a copy of it, if possible. I always prefer to look at an exact example (which yours is) rather than re-invent the wheel.
