Getting a dynamic file name

Postby Savaries » Thu Jan 24, 2013 10:33 pm

I am trying to make it so I can get a file name from a query string and have it play that movie. I dont seem to know how to actually go from setting the querystring on the page before to making the code read and accept it. I have tried several things but none work.

What I am wanting to do is this.
Page 1
Video 1 url /player.html?video=1.mov
Video 2 url /player.html?video=2.mov

Player page
'rtmp' : 'rtmp://192.168.1.1/vod/videos/Disc001/'+QueryString('vid_id')

The function i tried above gives an error and the other methods i tried have failed as well. What is the best way to take a querystring and update the rtmp section so the video will play.

Thanks for the help.

This is really a web development question; whatever you use, php or asp.net, you need to find out how to do this thing in your language.
You are passing this parameter (video=) to your web server ; it needs to query this parameter and code it to the page that it returns to client's browser.
