Playing using other browser player

Postby dandanknight » Thu May 15, 2014 9:31 am

We have written an application that uses your server to host files via http, and we use the cross browser plugin to play the files in Windows based web broswers (this is a web app written for internal company use, not the web, so it's possible, but not preferable to restrict users to Windows), but we are looking for a solution though that will allow people to watch files streamed from your server to any browser on any platform, we'd like to use flowplayer or projekktor or similar, as they support things like cue points etc.

We use the server to host a whole manner of files, but mainly WMV and TS, and the cross browser plays these brilliantly.

Is it possible to use one of the other players I mentioned to show content streamed from your server, and if so, can you point me in the right direction please? Such as, which streaming protocol would be best to use? Any anything else that may help?

Many thanks,
