Hello,
I used Unreal Media Server 5.0 in september without any problem for streaming video contents at more than 250 spectators with 5 broadcast servers.
In december I use the 5.5 release using this time the mms protocol.
All was perfect when they are not a lot of spectators.
But after a little numbers of spectators connected, it was very difficult to connect.
In watching on the log file, I see a lot of consecutive login logout messages.
Any idea of the problem?
Thks for your help.

Every new MMS connect has two login/logout pairs in the log.
That's how WMP works.
That shouldn't make your life difficult - your problems I beleive came from something else.

Yes, it's the same conceptually, although the server works a little harder when streaming with MMS protocol.
So for example, on my dual-core single CPU computer the server may support 1500 TCP unicast streams, and only 1300 MMS unicast streams, before the CPU goes to 90%.
Add another CPU, increase memory and these numbers grow, non-linearly, of course, but close to that.
