The problem is when you install Media Player version 5 you CAN view http v4cams BUT get a red x when you try to view TCP actviex v4 cams. I have v4 on a 2003 server and v5 on another 2003 server.

In the browser?

That means ActiveX control (If you are using IE) or Mozilla plugin (if you are using FireFox) is not installed.
Make sure your web pages include refernce to umediaplayer5.js
which needs to be on your web site as well.

I am running both versions of ActiveX control, v4 and v5 on my machine and it works OK. If you browse other forum topics, you can see that many people do that.

Web pages that use v4 should reference
umediaplayer.js,

Web pages that use v5 should reference
umediaplayer5.js

umediaplayer4.js and always have. I had a couple dozzen people try now and all have the same problem. I have shown over 200,000 v4 live streams this year with no problem. I can restore my system to before installing v5 player and all is well.

OK, got it.
If you have installed active x v4 TCP cams work great. You NOW install v5 mediaplayer http://umediaserver.net/bin/StreamingMediaPlayer.zip
you can watche http cams on v4 but NOT the TCP active x cams. You get the red x.
But if you in
Install active x v5 form TCP cam BEFORE you install the media player all is well you can watch both version 4 and 5 TCP or http.

Well, not exactly.

If you had ActiveX v4; and you installed Streaming Player v5, that's enough and all versions pages will play since Streaming Player v5 installs ActiveX control v5.

Question Hello, I am one of those people who Ric was talking about. I am having problems with the wefoal.com streaming cams. I can't watch them. I was able to watch one night then we had to download the new player v5. I have done what was told to fix it so that I can see the cams again. It is not working. I still get the message the player object was not loaded. It seems to be that when I try to install the v5 I get an error. This is as close as I can get to what it says as I can't copy and paste it for some reason. Also all the slashes are the other way but I don't have a key on my keyboard to put it right.

Module c:/Program Files Unrealstreaming /Streaming Media Player/ Umedia control HRESULT-2147024865. Contact Your Surport Personal.

I am not computer expert. I just want to be able to watch the cams again. I have no problem watch the cams on the marestare.com sites but it is not working on the wefoal.com sites. If it helps I am using OP Windows ME

Thanks, Win

Have you tried reinstalling Streaming Media Player v5?
