As in connecting the video from my phone's video camera to the media server? Would be nice.
******
I've been looking for something that would allow video calls from my media server (home) to my phone WM6 (HTC TyTN) so far I haven't found a solution.
closest so far are
MS Portrait http://research.microsoft.com/%7Ejiangli/portrait/
Curious that the link no longer works. It did a week ago

Yes, I had seen MS Portrait several years ago... However it is extremely limited and does not offer many features. I have discussed with umedia the Live Server application for windows mobile, but have not heard a possible release date... In the mean time, I am using another product to do the same thing. I would prefer to utilize umedia live server though. Here is the software I currently use to stream from my wireless phone. I have created a website and host the active control to show the content on.

Thanks for the link. I do recall reading about Comvu, but had never tried it, so I went ahead and set it up. Even added an embedded WMP to my Webserver.
It's a little sluggish, and as expected, it uses my phone's rear camera and not the front, but it's still pretty cool. I just wish I could cut Comvu out of the middle.
Back to your point. It would be nice to have an unreal mobile live server. _________________ Scott |

| I am patiently awaiting a response on this question. What is the time frame to be able to install live server on a windows mobile 5.0 or newer. Thank you in advance for responding admin. |
