I am running all Version 5 live server and media server. When I use the V5 plugin, my player times out and disconnects after a while. I am the only one watching, so my live server connection goes idle. The client machine is Windows XP Pro SP2.
When I switch to the V4 plugin, it runs indefinitely.
Are there any built-in timeouts in the Version 5 plugin? And if so, is there any way to turn them off? |

This is very strange...
You must be mistaking somewhere; there are no in-built timeouts; v4 and v5 players should behave the same.
Does the same happen if you run Streaming Media Player v5 as opposed to v4? (or it happens only with web pages?)
Please do more tests and let us know the results .

| It appears this was just a coincidence. While I was testing the Version 5 plugin, my anti-virus program (AVG) was doing an inordinate amount of updates. I think this may have been interfering with the connection. Now it has been running continuously for almost 7 hours. |
