Hi!

I´m new here, and first of all I´d like to say that de Unreal Streamig Software is great.
Anyway, I´vo som problems streaming xVID files.
My Streaming Server is a P4, 2,8Ghz and 1GB RAM.
The first Steraming Client is a P3, 866Mhz and 768 MB Ram.
As second streaming client I use a Pentium Core Duo 805, taktet to 3,2Ghz and 1GB RAM.
Well, if I stream xVID to my first client, the sound is much to early, and the video is bucking.
The same file streamed to my second Server works great, no bucking and also the sound is exactly to the right time.

I don´t think that the first client is too old, but I have no idea whats wrong.
Can anybody help me?

Thanks
Chris

Bad decoder is the most probable answer.
Your first client must have some codec pack installed which has some crappy codec subscribing to decode DivX.

Do wmv files play OK on the first client?

Also, what is the frame size? If it's very big then the first client CPU may be too weak to decode, pay attention to CPU usage when playing this XVid file.

Hi!

Thanks fpr your answer.
Well, I´m also thinking abaozt bad decoders on my first client.
On both clients I´m using the same deoders, but maybe you´re right and my second, better client is good enough to decode it while the other one isn´t.
So, what decoder could I try to stream Xvid with MP3-sound to my client. Can you advise something to me? I don´t have so much experience yet.

Thanks
Chris

WMV doesn´t work on my first client, but on my secont client it works. I don´t kw the framesize by heart.
