|
|
Hi,
I've the following problem, the connection between the mediaserver and liveserver drops when i connect with the viewer. When i remove the audio compression, so i send uncompressed audio-data, it all works fine and clients can view and hear the livestream.
My configuration:
Liveserver and viewer, tested on the same machine, Windows Vista
Hardware:
Video in: Pinnacle PCTV Analog Pro USB 150e
Audio in: On board soundcard, Intel ?? line-in
Mediaserver is located on Windows 2003 Web server edition
Anyone an idea what the problem could be? |

What audio encoding are you using (WMA, GSM)? What are the encoding parameters?
What is CPU utilization during streaming on live server machine? |

| Just the default settings, so it would be GSM. Does the server need a codec to support this? or should i set this to WMA? |

Are you sure you have the same problem?
Can you run the player on the same computer where Live Server runs and play a local preview?

As Admin asked, when you setup the live source do you see the preview working?
Since you say Live server connects to Media server that means you have it set up for dynamic connection? Why not try static?
Is there an advantage to mp3 over default sound encoding? Just curious. |
